Sunday Challenge!

It's Sunday again already, and time for a new challenge and fab round of inspiration from the DT!

This week,we want you to think about how lucky you are! Do you consider yourself 'lucky'? What is your idea of luck? Create a project about YOU and what being lucky means in your eyes.

Here are the DT projects to get you going :)

Anna
I don't know if I'm lucky or not but I've been blessed with lots of good things in my life and that's lucky enough for me!

Lisa

Having these two girls in my life makes me the luckiest girl in the world. My sister and my daughter. What would I do without them??

Val
I'm not a lucky person when it comes to winning prizes, or lotteries. I don't gamble because I always loose. I think this is karma's way of balancing the fact that I am extremely lucky when it comes to my family: I am blessed with a great husband and 2 very happy and healthy children. I this respect - I've got all the luck in the world - and that is just fine with me!

supplies: Patterned paper: American Crafts, MME; stickers: Making Memories; butterflies: Studio Calico; letters: Jillbean Soup; tape: Tim Holtz; border stickers: Crate

Nic

I made a page about the fact that I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been given a great start to life.  I have many happy memories about my childhood and I think those early formative experiences have helped shaped me into the person I am today.

Amanda

When things aren't going our way, it's sometimes easy to forget all the things in our lives that we are very lucky to have. Inspired by Tessa's 'Attitude of Gratitude' challenge I made this layout focusing on reminding myself to be thankful for all the little things in my life that I'm incredibly lucky to have. For example, this time last year, I worked full time and did not have the luxury of wearing my slippers all day on a Thursday :) Now, I do!

As Tessa inspired my layout I used flowers from Precocious Paper as embellishments. I also couldn't resist trying out the new Bingo Number stamps from Scrap Rat. I used distress ink and some clear embossing powder with my stamps to get a grungy look to suit the rest of my layout. Paper scraps, lots of staples and glimmer mist finish off my page.

Sue

This is an easy story to write for me - I feel quite fortunate that I have the children that I wished for..They are a blessing to me. :)

Tessa

My journaling discusses how lucky I think I am for having such great boys.  I was so proud of the successes their teachers described to me at Parent Teacher Conferences this past week that I nearly cried with happiness during the meetings.  We celebrated their good grades with dinner at In-n-Out Burger (a family favorite!).  And before all of you Studio participants start to think I'm a fast food junkie (remember my fast food tacos from the Guilty Pleasures challenge?), please know that this was a special treat.

material used: Studio Calico cardstock, Prima paper, Arte.1 felt,
Maya road lace, buttons, thickers American Krafts.
Acrilic Paint: True Colors (Brazilian brand)
It was hard not to be a bit tacky on this one...when I think about luck the first thing that comes to my mind is Pedro, my son. I have been through so many things before i had him...it took me over 10 years, an abortion and an ectopic pregnancy to discover i had endometriosis.
So being a mother is my major achievement in life and a bit of lucky too, Id say.
This is probably my favourite layout from the last ones created.
I've had a lot of fun with this Prima paper from an older collection. I have used watercolor pencils to color it and then carefully cut it out and created layers using it.
Here a close up...

XX to you all!

And our November guest, Sophie

When I reflected on luck, the title was easily found as I believe that luck is just a question of perspective ! I like to think that luck as well as happiness depend on the way one looks at ones life! other people may think my life is ordinary but I believe I am the luckiest girl on earth!
My layout is bright and simple, I used too pictures of my kiddos I made in a particulaory happy day! and i used a journaling card to hide my journaling on which I added this big butterfly. Most items come from the Magpie club september kit, and all papers are American craft Dear Lizzy enchanted !
