2nd Feb - Colour Challenge

Create a layout about love but using these colours that Stephanie picked for us.

Here's what the design team came up with;

Anna
I love these colours and as soon as I saw them I had to scrap photos of my little painted Gromit figure as it has the same colours in it which is why I love it so much!

Cari

I really enjoy doing this challenge and not using the tipical love colors! I decided to use a photo fun and happy just as the colors we have to use and I really love the final result!!

Hilde

Which couple is the world's most famous? Is it David and Victoria Beckham? or may be it is this couple?

Years ago we were given bath foam in Mickey and Minnie containers. The bath foam is gone long time ago, but I have never had the heart to toss the containers - they are on a shelf in our bath room for decoration purpose only. And they will always be together!

I cannot tell you how much I love color challenges, and this one was ever so fun to work with!  I usually steer clear of any shade of purple at all costs, but my latest Jenni Bowlin papercrafting kit arrived housing lots of goodies in this shade.  So, I went right to work.  We haven't gotten as many pics of our anxiously anticipated little one this pregnancy, and my doctor says that, unless she suspects something is wrong, there won't be any more.  Obviously, we don't want anything to be wrong, even though we'd love another peek of our growing bundle with just a few weeks to go.  So, we'll just treasure the first nine-week-old photos this page boasts even more.

Kat
This was a very fun color combo to work with.  I was comfortable with three of the colors, but the orchid was a bit of a stretch for me...it is a gorgeous color, though, and I can understand why radiant orchid is the Pantone color of the year!!

Katherine

I love the colour palette and it was a great excuse to use up lots of pink which tends to hang around in my paper collections!  I went for lots of banners to document my Grandma's birthday party.

Petra
This was a fun challenge ♥ I really like the colors and the only thing I added was some gold and black and white of course. I hope you don't mind.

On this page I used FabScraps new collection Retro Twist. Love the pop-up butterfly shapes and darling bird chippies.

As soon as I heard "a layout about love" I knew I had to scrap the love of my life - my husband! I've scrapbooked most of our wedding photos already, but this quirky photo hadn't found a home on a layout yet so I pulled it out and decided to work with it.

I used a combination of products from Dear Lizzy, Basic Grey, Glitz Designs, Heidi Swapp and Crate Paper. I really love how this page turned out - whimsical and playful, just like our wedding!

My first creation as guest designer was quite tricky when pink is a color I don’t use a lot with three sons and a husband in the house. LOL. But a challenge is a challenge and sooo much fun :) Modeling paste, distress paint and masking tape served as background for the LO. My sewing machine added some black thread for contrast in the shape of hearts and frame for the page. Other decorations are paper, washi tape, buttons, staplers, flowers and so on.

Our sponsor this month is AbsoluteSCRAP

My name is Debbie and I have been a scrapbooker personally for about 10 years, and when my youngest daughter started full time school, it seemed a perfect opportunity to use my love of paper and make it into a business.
AbsoluteSCRAP is an online only business, based in the West Midlands, UK and was started in May 2013, we have many top crafting brands available, and a wide selection of scrapbooking paper designs. We do cater for other types of craft such as card making and altered art, but our main focus is towards scrapbook supplies.
The name was created firstly as a joke for my Husband, who for years when referring to my hobby,  missed out the ‘S’ in ‘Scrap’  (he, like so many others, just doesn't get it!)
But a few sniggers, raised eyebrows and double takes later, I found that most people saw the funny side at it just stuck. Some people still have to glance twice, just to make sure their eyes didn't really see what they thought they’d seen! Our Facebook page is here.

Debbie has kindly offered a £12.50 voucher to the winner of this months challenges to spend in her shop so get creating for a chance to win!
