We have a nice easy challenge for you today! It is... Create your own background; anyway you like, you could use stamps, mixed media, cut files or anything you like to create a background for your layout.
Hannah This background I use blue and purple watercolor、a little white gesso and use net stamp to complete.Than use bee grid die cut and cut some stars from pinkpaslee's paper then put title to complete. Hope this can inspire you.
Jinny I've played with mists and paints, done some stencil work, and grounded everything with a leafy cut file for a subtle approach to the challenge.
Hello there! For this challenge I chose to use cut files from the Silhouette online store. These days, I seem to love working with wreaths. The hardest part was hand-cutting the card stock to fit behind the flowers and leaves. Otherwise this is a fairly simple layout that I was able to put together in no time!
We would love to see your own background layouts, please link them up to the side bar you have until 3rd December to enter this month's challenges.
We will have even more inspiration for you next time as we will have new DT members joining us, can't wait to see what they create!
5th Mirror Image; create a layout using a mirror imagine so both sides of your layout is the same as the other. Jinny I have to admit that I started this one out with good intentions, matching patterns sideto side. I even tucked a tag into the bottom outside corners of both photos and chose a floral die cut perfect for the occasion, but I struggled to carry the mirror image idea through to completion. I won't make excuses. I'll just let you decide for yourselves.
Hello! I took a bit of creative liberties with this challenge. I didn't exactly make a mirror layout, but everything I did on one side (top/bottom, left/right) I attempted to match on the other side. Also, since this is a mixed media layout, it's almost impossible to make it "exact". I had fun playing with my new gelatos and papers from Pretty Little Studio.
You have until 3th December to enter this month's challenges, please link them up to the side bar.

A little reminder that our design team call is still on we are looking for quite a few scrappers so please do enter, I look forward to seeing your entry.
Vivian I love how easy this sketch . . . at least for me. I've been making "complicated" layouts lately and this one came together so fast!!! Hysterically, I have three different titles going on because this photo is the center of so many events. It's my son's birthday, he has the best smile and it's Fall. I am forever grateful for my little man.
Guest Designer -Marie Here is my layout for this month’s sketch challenge. I’ve recently lost a lot of weight, nearly 5 stone! To celebrate the ‘new’ me, I decided to do this layout. My photo matched the Prima Rose Quartz collection perfectly. You will notice that I altered the sketch slightly by placing my paper diagonally rather than horizontal. I loved all the layering and clustering on this one. I used die cut flowers, and stamped and embossed one of my favourite flower stamps onto vellum, then cut them out. I splattered rose gold paint over the background and added black lace under the photo along with some inked doilies. I cut out lots of feathers from one of the papers, snipped them along the edges and ‘fluffed’ them up to make them appear more realistic. I dipped the Prima flowers into the rose gold paint so that they blended well with the background. I’m really pleased how this page came together. I love the new me and I love this page!
Thanks to Marie for this month, it's been a pleasure having you.
