21st Feb - Selfies

Good Morning! Today's challenge is a ...

Selfie Challenge; we want to see you on your layout, time to get taking selfies! And as it's the first challenge for our new design team members we thought this would be a great one to get to know them!

Chieko

Clair

I normally wake to find a little cat next to me but, as I tried to take a 'selfie' this daft, little floofer decided to remind me that it was time for breakfast and was, literally, in my face about it. Somehow, this reflects our current reality more than any other selfie I could have taken purposefully, so I rolled with it and it's now documented in my Project Life album!

Michelle

My family and I went to the baseball field to participate in the retirement ceremony of my favorite baseball player.
He is one of the best baseball players in Taiwan. Everyone was very reluctant.
This photo is a selfie of us at the baseball field.

Rossana

I wanted to dedicate this layout to “positive thought” because it helped me during lock down.

I believe a lot in the power of colors and so I used a combination of 4 colors. I used pigment powder and water for the background. For embellishments I used stamps and diecuts.

Tammy

Wow I think the design team did a great job, so many lovely layouts!
If you give our challenge a go please link it up to the side bar, we would love to see them.

Happy Scrapping!

Tammy

Hello, my name is Tammy and I'm super excited to be joining the Studio Challenges Team. I currently live in Pennsylvania with my (very supportive) husband Shawn and my (college sophmore) son Garrett. I also have a daughter, Jackie, that lives in South Carolina. She is mommy to two beautiful babies that call me Nana - Miss Everly Claire and Harrison Grant. They are currently the main focus of most of my layouts these days! I work full time as an Office Assistant in a Mental Health Office, and I use scrapbooking as my "own personal therapy". I've been scrapbooking off and on now for about 20 years, and would consider myself a very clean and simple scrapper. I absolutely love sketches and a great challenge. . .
Feel free to visit my blog if you'd like to see some more of my creations!  Strawberries & Peppermints

Do you like your own handwriting? I know some scrappers don't like adding their own writing to their layouts but I think it's good for others to look back on.

10th January- Old and New

  Happy New Year!

A nice simple challenge to start the new year, out with the old in with the new!

Old and New; create a layout with something old and something new on.

Tell us what you used for your old and new items.

Lori - For something old I have used a splatter stamp, doilies, a glassine bag, the alphas, and acrylic hearts. For something new I have used papers and enamel dots from the Simple Stories Hip Hop Hooray collection from last spring and the heart die cuts are new.

Michelle

Happy New Year everyone!! For the something new I used Simple Stories' latest fall collection called 'Cozy Days'. For the something old I used hemp, staples and a stamp I have had for forever.

Rainny

One of my university classmates moved to a new house. We went to his home to celebrate. Our friendship for nearly 20 years, we are all old friends.

For this layout I used new Simple Stories' papers and old American Crafts' alphas.

Please link up your finished layout to the top of the side bar, we would love to see it!

Don't forget our Design team call is also on, see the post below for details.

27th December - Looking Back

 Good Morning!

Today's challenge is ...

Looking Back; what a year it has been! As the new year is nearly upon us I want you to look back and review the year. What have you learnt? What would you prefer to forget?!

Lori

2020 has definitely looked a little different for us, but not all bad. I used one of my favorite photos and journaled a lot about how this year has been for us. You can read more about it on my blog.

Maya

Michelle

2020 was an especially bad year for our family. Without a doubt, the best thing that happened was the addition of sweet, precious Felix. I decided to create a layout of him.

Rainny

This is a photo taken on my birthday this year.

We simply celebrate my birthday at home. Jerry took a few funny selfies with me.

This year, due to COVID-19, we have a lot of inconveniences. Also let us cherish all the people around us more. Peace and health is the greatest happiness.

I hope that the epidemic will end soon and everything will be back on track. I hope all people are safe and healthy.

I hope that's inspired you to give it a go I think it's important to document the year good or back, it's great to look back on. Please link up your layouts to the side bar, we would like to see them.
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas however you spent it and we look forward to a new year that is better for everyone.
Happy New Year!
Happy Scrapping!
