Supplies: Vintage frame, Teresa Collins POSH collection papers, vintage playing cards, Teresa Collins Blingage gems, Bubblegum Pink Glimmer Mist, adhesive by Therm-O-Web.
First of all I painted the frame - it was a vintage frame and gold originally, but the paint was flaking badly. I used 2 coats of gesso and then a coat of white acrylic paint.
To decorate the inside of the frame I first cut a piece of patterned paper to fit. I
As a feature for the centre of the frame I trimmed a cameo from my paper, along with a strip of butterflies. If you don't have these papers then
I mounted the playing cards onto black cardstock to help them stand out on the background.
I then adhered the elements onto the background as per the picture above. It didn't quite seem finished, so I added a few gems to the centre and corners of my playing cards. The cameo was attached with a 3D foam square to add a bit of dimension.
I hope you'll try out making something for your home out of your favourite scrappy supplies. If you do I'd love to see what you create!
