2nd June - Stitching

Today's challenge is all about stitching! Needles at the ready!?! Please included stitching on your layout, either by hand or machine!

Here's what the Design team did with their needles!

Anastasia
I thought this time I should try some hand stitching for the first time. So I wrote the title with a pencil, pierced the paper tracing the letters and then hand stitched the title. I couldn't resist adding a bit of machine stitching on the subtitle and the frame. And I finally got to play with water-based mists and lots and lots of water!

Anna
I love hand stitching on my layout but it is a bit time consuming so I don't do it that often. On this layout I stitched two big circles in two different colours.

Chantelle

I love the use of stitching on my pages.  For this page I used the Sew Easy tool to make the stitching line and then hand-stitched in the white thread.

Daphne
I love stitching on my layouts but I'm not doing it very often! It always takes some time to decide HOW to do it and WHERE. You can't move the little holes around like you do with alpha stickers... but once you have decided where to place your title or pattern, the actual process of stitching is quite therapeutic!

Hilde
Hidden journaling in the glassine envelope:
"For some reason the kids think you replace anything that is broken - the word "Repair" doesn't seem to exist in their vocabulary. Both trousers and pillow cases can be fixed - and they get as good as ew...

Katherine
I love stitching on my pages, I started with a machine stitched circle and then stitched around the edges of my pieces of paper and just left the threads dangling.  I also I used a few Tando chippies - I inked some golden stars and used a couple of the cogs in the bare state to go with all the science!

Petra
I usually stitch on my page so this was not really a challenge for me LOL. I thought about doing some special stitching but in the end I decided just to do my thing:

I stitched on the butterflies, the borders and around the photo.

I also stitched down the stamped text.

Guest Designer - Julie
I ended up stitching a boarder. I don't often do stiching on my layouts and when I do it is usually rough and ready. I'm not one for it being perfectly straight, neat and tidy.

This month sponsor is chipboard company Tando
