24th September - "S" Challenge

Morning, friends!  We've got our final, September challenge for you all today.  We are asking you to include as many items as you can that begin with the letter s on your pages this go around.  Here's how the Design Team was inspired.

Hannah
I use the following:

Sea
Shell
Sea Blue
Star

I use mixed media to create this layout. I want to use shell to create a work this summer, but I still have no idea to do.Because this challenge, I start to do this work. I use a lot of shell than coloring with blue. grean and glod spray and use beads and drill to embellish.I pick a photo of my daughter in the sea.Than put the title and wood stars to finish. Hope this layout can inspire you.

Jinny
I dove into my September Twin Falls Citrus Twist kit for this challenge and included the following twelve things that begin with the letter s: sequins, stitching, stamping, Silhouette, splatters, staples, stars, fabric swatch, sun, sky blue, September, and string.

I have used the following:
Sea Shells
Salmon Pink
Sky Blue
Sequins
Sentiments
Silver
Sea Horse

It is my last DT layout for The Studio Challenges as I am stepping down after 18 months.
It has been a wonderful experience and I have enjoyed my time on this team.
I hope I have inspired you in some way!

Vivian
My list of "S" goes as follows: school themed layout, striped paper, scalloped circle, stars and school supplies patterned paper. The tag under the photo has writing on it in real life, but blurred out for privacy. More details on my blog.

Now, it's your turn; and we can't wait to see what you all cook up!  You have until Sunday, October 8, 2017, to link up your takes, on this "S" Challenge and/or our previous, September Book Cover Challenge, in the right-hand column.  We also want to send out a HUGE thank you to Rachel for diligently inspiring us with her phenomenal creativity month after month.  She has been an enormous asset to our team and is already greatly missed.  We are and will continue cheering her on to what will inevitably be countless, great, success stories.  Be sure to stop by her blog and leave her lots of love.  Thanks so much for visiting, Studio friends!  Happy scrapping!

10th September - Book Cover

Good Morning! Today's challenge is....

Inspired by a book cover; create a layout taking inspiration from a book cover. Maybe it's a book you have loved, maybe it's only the cover you love, you can use any book you like. (Please show us the book too).

Hannah

This book page inspires me about flowers.
So I cut few circles to make flowers. Then I added decoration to the corners. I use the photo that we had a travel in a B&B with the boos daughter to make cookie. It’s so fun and it’s a happy day.

Jinny
I was inspired to use Maggie Holmes' new Carousel Collectionon my page by an old, Walt Disney Little Golden Book.  It happens to be Mary Poppins: A Jolly Holiday, but I wasn't inspired by the book content as much as I was by it's overall cover theme and color.

Rachel
My layout is inspired by my youngest and I's favourite book (and movie), The Life of PI, such a wonderful story! I have actually scrapped a photo of the book cover! My title, the tiger, waves, world map, tropical elements were all inspired by this book/book cover.

Vivian
I must admit, I cheated slightly. I first made the page I wanted then went back to find a book cover!! Whatever works, right?! I'm a HUGE fan of the "For Better or For Worse" comic strips and have nearly all of her books. It's all about family . . . mothers, fathers, children . . . siblings!!!!

Please link up your layouts by 8th October for this month's challenges.
We hope that this has inspired you to get scrapping.
