26th April - Inspired by a Song

Todays challenge is Inspired by a Song, choose a song and take inspiration from the title or lyrics etc

Here are the songs our design team picked...
Elisabetta I took inspiration from the song "photograph" by Ed Sheeran and I used the lyrics of that song as my journaling.

My inspiration is taken from Witness' Spring Cleaning

Journaling says:"Stuff has just piled up during the twelwe years we have lived in this house. Easter break was spent doing a huge spring cleaning: lots were sold, lots given away and we needed a large container for just trash"

I used this challenge to issue my daughter a challenge of her own to live for the Lord Every Day, which just so happens to be the title of this particular song by Hillsong United, of her life.  I was inspired by some new goodies in my Noel Mignon Hello Darling Classic Kit and couldn't help but throw in lots of stamping and layers.
I picked an easy one - Pharrell's "Happy".  The pictures in this layout definitely aren't perfect.  The quality is bad and the lighting is terrible, but they are silly (well, my husband, E, looks silly!) and fun and show how happy we are.  Plus, I thought this was a good way to use up some of my alpha stash!!

Seungeun Lee
My mom is lung cancer...Five years ago,our family has been found that lung cancer
is the mother underwent surgery, but had recurrence within a year..
Earlier this year, the illness is getting worse has got to talking and left the life of three to four months...But she was receiving treatment take the power back like some extent.I do not know if she can live how much more...But i would like for her to tell 'You are not alone'.(Michael Jackson-You Are Not Alone)
Cheer mom!!!!!!!I love you so much!!

For a holiday in RomeI used the title of a (beautiful!song by an Italian music band, Matia Bazar

I picked the title of a song that I love so much. Sweet dreams are made of this..

Guest Designer - Athanasia

Thank you for having me here, it's really a great honor!
The song I chose to scrap is "Somewhere over the rainbow" (music by H. Arlen and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg). I love this song and as a musician I like playing it on the piano.
I chose a photo with a rainbow up in the space and used light paste, gesso, watercolors and a lot of sprays to create the background as an extension of the photo.
I got inspired not only by the title of the song, but also by the lyrics. So, I used among other embellishments a star, blue birds flying over the rainbow and blue for the skies.

12th April - Sketch

Todays challenge is a sketch created by Valerie from Seungeun's Old Stash Layout. Here the sketch....

....and here are the design teams takes on it.

Sometimes people dye their hair because they need a change. A few days ago. I've dyed my hair purple. Perfect color! I was so excited that day. Happy Life!!!

I turned the sketch 90 degrees to fit my photo better and to give room for the big, long title.
The photo is featuring my DS12, licking the remains of strawberry coulis on his plate. Title says "Simen + straweberry coulis = true". If you don't know about coulis, check ithere: it's just lovely with meat as veal!

Spring has come~!The whole world is a flower-strewn lately.My eyes are happy~!
I like the cherry blossom like popcorn.Awesome!!!!!

It'S great to see all those different layouts that came from one sketch!
Please link up your take on the sketch to the side bar, we would love to see it!
