29th March - Spring Pin

You have an extra bonus challenge this month as there happens to be three challenges in March!

Today's challenge is a Pinterest challenge, I have picked a spring pin that I found on Pinterest for you. How does this pin inspire you?
The design team have done a great job in taking inspiration from the picture...

I really love this pin, that's why I picked it! It really says spring to me, so I took a photo of pretty spring flowers, created a big circle like the bike wheel and then added lots of flowers and I managed to find a great little stamp of a bike to add too!

I was inspired by the colors and mainly by the wheel of the bicycle! why not to paint a pink wheel on the page too?

They are very lovely couple. Look like a spring.
I think they would be married. :) God bless you!

Hilde

The image shoutet Springtime at me - and we are seeing spring here in Norway, documentetd by the photo on my layout. You will find items taken from the image as flowers and the bike, too.

My sweet friend Courtney is having a baby shower, in Georgia, next week, and I can't go.  So, because I'm really missing her and wishing I could be there to help her celebrate and because our beautiful inspiration photo made me think wedding, I had to scrap a few pictures from her wedding reception last July.  I was also inspired by the floral and woodgrain elements of the photo, as well as the color pink.

When I saw the image, the element that really spoke to me was the bunch of pretty flowers...so I had to use one of my favorite floral papers!

Spring fairy noticed!! "What's up!!You tell me what you want!! "
Where is there such a fairy?!

Vasso
Spring time!! I love the colors and the flowers in this picture!! Everything says spring is here! So, I chose to play with the two spring colors... pink and green!

I hope they have inspired you to have a go.
You have until 12th April in enter our three challenges this month.
Happy Scrapping!

February's Favourites and a Winner!

Hi fellow scrappers!

It's always hard to pick winners. The story behind each and every layout is means something to the person who created it, and there is always pretty details to watch in each creation.

The sketch we had for you in February was a big hit, and all our runners up and the winner participated in this challenge.

Now, first to our two runners up:

Lythan

We love how clean this is, the colors chosen and Lythan's doodling which adds so much!

Nicole

Her dog is super cute, and we love how Nicole was thinking out of the box and replaced the circle in the sketch with a pumpkin. Very creative!

And now for the winner

Drumroll...

Ange

We love Anges mix of colors and chapes and how she took the sketch and made it hers. There is lots of details to watch on this layout, but it still looks clean and crisp. Well done, Ange!

Congrats, Ange! If you would like to email me, Anna at thestudiochallenges @gmail.com and I can arrange for you to be guest designer for us.

15th March - Old Stash

Today's challenge is ...

Use your old stash. We want you to uncover your old stash, we all have papers and embellishments that must be years old, now is the time to use some up! The older the papers and embellishments the better!

Here are the design teams layouts using their old stash ...

Elisabetta I had so much fun using some old papers for this challenge! the title "nevica!!" means "it's snowing!!"

HeeSun Kim

When I first started this craft, I bought the this paper on boxing day. I love the leopard print!!!! COLOURED leopard prints make the purr-fect style statement.

Hilde

Does anyone remember the manufactorer DaisyD? The paper collection used on this layout is one of my favs ever - and luckily I still have plenty :-) I hoarded it when it still was in the shops, like 5-6 years ago. I also have dug out old brads, rubons, stickers and fiber. I belive the only stuff newer than 4 years is the large alpha.
Ahhh, it feels great to have used all these old items!

Patterned papers: DaisyD. Tags: K&Company. Rubons: MME, Basic Grey. Brads: MME, Pink Paisley, LYB, AC. Arrow stickers: Heidi Swapp. Alpha: AC

Kat
I pulled out my old Sassafras stash for this layout -  I thought all the numbers in the "Count Me In" collection would be cute for a putt-putt layout!

Seungeun Lee
I start a craft is 2 years ago.So it does not have a lot of Old Stash..
But i also had some pretty old stash~! Paper and embellishments!!
I worked as the of my friend's daughter's first birthday picture with them~!

Simona
I used a patterned paper for the background, some die-cuttings (the flower and clouds) and an 5/6 years aged alphabet for the date

Tessa
I tend to hold on to pretty paper instead of cutting into it, and that's what happened to the Soleil collection by Basic Grey that I bought in 2012. I finally put it to use on this layout, though!

Vasso
I discovered the hobby only 2 years ago , so nothing is really too old! lol Some of the things I have since the beginning is this paper and some of the embellishments! So this is my page using my old stash! :-)
Hope they have inspired you to go digging into your stash and use your old things up, it can make way for some new!

You have until 12th April to link up your layouts t the side bar.
Happy Scrapping!

1st March - List of Items

Today's challenge is....
Use as many of these Items in your layout as you can....
                  Mist
                  Stamping
                  Sequins
                  Chipboard
                  Brads or Eyelets
                  Thread
                  vellum
                  yellow

Here are the great creations the new design team have created....

Elisabetta: I love to send letters to my penfriends all over the world and I wanted to document it in my 2015 album!!

Hilde

I have used all the items except yellow - just because yellow was added after my layout was done.

Journaling says: "It's great to be a DIY when the house needs some improvements. But Cliff, why don't you wear pants while painting?"

Jinny
I had so much fun putting this page together using nearly all of the items from the list above.  Not sure how I missed the color yellow.  Hmmm?  I knew that I had a brand spankin' new Noel Mignon kit on its way to my mailbox, so I tapped into the girly potential of my February Love Life Classic Kit to put together one last page before making room on my desktop for all the new goodies.

Kat:
This page was so much easier to do than I thought it would be.  I managed to squeeze in every item on the list.  You can't really tell from this picture, but the paper in the middle of my layout is actually vellum and there are sequins between it and the cardstock.  This was definitely a fun challenge!!  (P.S. - Butter beers are the drinks from the Harry Potter books and movies and my niece was so excited to try them when we took her to Universal Studios.  My husband & I think that they are cream soda with whipped butterscotch topping!)

Seungeun Lee
Crafter my friends!! More sense to use the light to take great pictures~!
I like the girls!! And coffee & sweet things~

Simona:
this LO is dedicated to my son Jacopo. Here is a different way to say ok! ;-)

Tessa
This was fun and definitely a challenge! I clustered everything and only used a bit of each item so that my page didn't get away from me. I also kept many things the same color - gold - so that the different kinds of embellishments worked well together.

Vasso: I have used all the items from the list! I love Sequins and thread and I love this color combination! It was so fun to put them together! You can even see yellow...in my flower! lol!

Didn't the design team do a great job?! I hope they have inspired you to have a go, we would love to see your entries! You have until 12th April to get your entries in.
Happy Scrapping!
