27th March- Flowers

Today's challenge is ...

....Flowers - As spring is in the air, we challenge you to use flowers on your layouts, anyway, anyhow!

Ewelina

I opted for a bright, fresh, spring feel this time. The lady in the photo has a basket full of flowers at the back of her bike - it reminded me of the spring time when I was at Uni, riding my baby pink bike to my classes with my basket full of books. It was so much fun, no worries and picnics in the park almost every weekend.

Flora

Last weekend we had a wonderful time in Italy: sunshine, good foods, relaxing, lots of chatting. These early days of spring are so sweet, we really enjoyed. I wanted to create as shiny, bright, spring layout as it was our time. I used My Mind's Eye On trend 2 collection what perfectly match the theme. In the end I stitched around the page with normal black thread.

This whole page started with that floral, acrylic, Pink Paislee "HELLO" across the bottom.  I built in more florals in the form of Freckled Fawn felt and resin blooms, patterned prints, stamping, wet embossing, and even watercoloring through a stencil.  They seem to frame a few of my little bear's birth pictures perfectly.

Every year my beautiful sweet peas cover the back wall of my kitchen and I have an abundance of flowers to display on my dining room table.
I wanted this pretty floral paper as the backdrop as the colours were similar to those in my photo and I love the boldness of the pattern.
I can't help but look forward to the arrival of Spring here in the UK and to seeing the layouts you create with this challenge.

Lydia

Really love how this layout turned out, definitely not my usual type of layout either. I fussy cut the beautiful black and white floral from the Maggie Holmes 'Shine Collection', then added a few extra embellishments and some hand written journaling.

I have used the beautiful MME Hello Gorgeous collection to create this layout. I have used a digital cut file from the Silhouette Design Store, I just love this heart/flower cut file. With three sons I love the opportunity to create a totally girly layout. Close up photos and more information on my blog: Can't wait to see your creations x

Festive lights went with a friend earlier this year. A photo taken from there. I used the black cardstock and expressed a pattern on a background with a Prima stencil and gold paste. I used the clock in the shape of a Blue fern studios chipboard. The flowers used are Prima flowers.(Bordo Grizo set)

A vintage photo deserves special treatment in my mind, and I hope you think I have managed that thanks in large part to the fabulous floral paper I used as a starting point.  These are my husband's great grandparents.  I do not know much about them yet, but when I gather the details I will be adding them to the tag you see there tucked under the left side of the portrait.  I have also subtly drawn attention to the tag with the small subtitle placement.

Yasmina

A layout with my second daugther. I love love flowers on my layouts. With girls it is easier than with boys; in my opinion.
Papers from 7Gypsies and mist from Tattered Angels. I've got a video tutorial and more close ups on my blog.

I hope that has inspired you to get creative with blooms! You have until 10th April to link up your layouts to the side bar.

If you are celebrating, Happy Easter!
