Sunday Challenge

Have you had a good week? Hope so! I really enjoyed today's challenge and I hope that you will too :)

Use at least 5 different patterned papers on you page. You can choose your own theme, but get as many different papers on there as you can!

Winners are usually selected randomly for a monthly prize but this week Cosmo Cricket have kindly sponsored us and our DT as they did last week, so Amanda will be choosing a winner for this challenge! The prize (The delovely collection) will be awarded to the person who makes the best use of multiple papers!

Amanda:

Despite my big love of Cosmo Cricket, I was incredibly intimidated by the bright colours in these papers and spent a lot of time deciding how to use as little of it as possible whilst still sticking to the challenge! After about a week of staring at them, I decided to try a different approach: See how much bright happiness I could get on my page without it looking over the top. Did it work? You decide!

Anna:
I think I used all of the Delovely patterned papers on this!!! I thought the bright colours went really well with these photos of my nephew when we were on holiday. I cut out drip shapes from some plain card and used them as a mask to mist over.

Fabi:
Lisa: Using Cosmo Cricket DeLovely.
These papers are so fun. Perfect for my girlie's birthday party pics.
As the papers are very BRIGHT and bold, I decided to use little bits to not go too over board.

Nic:

I really enjoyed this challenge and ended up using 9 different patterned papers from the Cosmo Cricket delovely line - 10 if you count the white journaling strips, which is the back of the front sheet in the pack! :-)

Rebekah:
I love the Cosmo Cricket 'Delicious' papers. They are so bright and summery. It's not often you'd get away with flowery paper for a boys LO but I figured that since Connor's in a pool with some bright trunks on, I could here :) I added an icecream pin from 'My little bit of Whimsey' and some chipboard pieces from 'The Range' (absolute bargain- 6 flowers for 99p). Love the way it all turned out.

Sue:
I've used my scallop punch to play with a bunch of patterned paper I have on hand. It was a lovely way to use my paper in this way. The scallops form a background layer for my photos, and another layer at the bottom of the page. This was so much fun and so simple to make. The white cardstock was misted using a mask from the Basic Grey 'Doillies' collection.

Journaling says: I love your smile, your laughter, your quirks and even your temper. I love your voice and your hugs. And I love you.

Tessa:

Believe it or not, I used nine different patterned papers on this layout! I almost feel like I cheated. Instead of using substantial pieces of patterned paper, I punched the butterfly shapes out of nine different Cosmo Cricket "Delovely" papers. The little bits of pattern allowed me to use all the bright colors I wanted without the page being overwhelmed or too busy.

Valerie:
There is nothing I love more than mixing a whole bunch of patterns! I went back to the DeLovely collection by Cosmo Cricket for this page. A bold, bright choice when the challenge is to use 5 (or more) patterns, but I knew this collection would totally suit my sunny, happy beach pictures. So here's what I made:

I used 5 patterns, plus a few of the cards from the paper collection. Here's a close up of the stitching - machine stitching at the perimeter and on the 'waves' then French knots in the centers of the little flowers.

Materials: patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket (DeLovely), cardstock: Bazzill; letter stickers: Basic Grey; flower punch: Martha Stewart; string: Stampin Up; curvy trimmer: Creative Memories; felt button: floss: Making Memories; craft supply
