The New Design Team

We have two new members to welcome to The Studio Design Team for the next six months!
First, here are the returning members:
Anna

And please give a big welcome to:
Chantelle Huizenga
Hello,
I'm a mum to four boys and wife to a wonderful man. We live in Busselton, a pretty sea-side town in Western Australia. My family provides me with inspiration to scrapbook - their handsome faces will often grace my pages. I enjoy the whole process: from taking the pictures, to planning the page, to playing with pretty papers and embellishments. My style has evolved over the years. I love seeing the new styles of papers that come out and enjoy keeping up with new techniques. I like to tell the story behind my pictures, but also really enjoy the arty side to scrapbooking - my pages will include paint, ink, mist and texture. My style of scrapbooking often depends on what challenge I'm playing along with or collection of papers I'm working with. I love to share what I create - you can view all my work at: Chantelle's Creative Space

Scrapbooking provides many opportunities and I've met some wonderful people who inspire me. I'm fortunate to be on a few design teams and I love the challenges they provide.
I'm excited to be joining The Studio Design Team and look forward to sharing their fun challenges with you all ☺

Hilde Aaslund
Hello!
My name is Hilde Aaslund, aka Scoobie,  and I am a challenge addict! I live in Norway with my hubby, two boys 10 &13, two cats, a dog, two budgies and FIL. I work full time as an engineer at construction sites and spend my leisure time running this place called home, spend time outdoors and craft with paper.
I started my paper craft career as a card maker in 2005, but transformed to a layout scrapper a year later. My main scrap subjects are - quite naturally- my family, but I also scrap about subjects found in our everyday life – the pets, our friends, funny signs and anything that makes my day special.
As life is busy, I hardly have time to sit down and create for hours, and this is reflected in my scrap style: often simple I-can-do-that layouts with plenty of white space or quite linear. But on occasions I get carried away and keep adding details as if I were paid by the number  J  I still feel proud and happy if published or featured, and work hard to deliver inspiring projects when on design teams.
I am thrilled beyond words to be a part of The Studio Challenges Design Team, and hope my examples can give you some ideas on how to preserve precious memories.

We can't wait to see what they create for the challenges!

20th Jan- Sketch

Valerie has come up with another lovely sketch for you this month, this time it was inspired by one of Amanda's layouts.
This is the last challenge with the design team as we know it, here are our layouts created from the sketch.

Anna

There's lots of different ways to play with this sketch but for this one I stayed quite close to the sketch, the main difference are my photos are the other way round.

Daphne
Val's sketch with two photos was the best what could happen to me this week! I wanted to document my weight-loss in 2012 and therefore two photos of me, one from February and one from in December last year, would show the best results.

Emi

That's my last LO for this amazing group so from this place I'd like to say thank you. Thank you for your inspiring works and ideas. Val, thank you for creating those beautiful sketches. Thank you for the opportunity to be with you, you're DREAM TEAM and
it was pleasure for me to work with You!

Kat
Another fun sketch to work with!

Katherine
A great sketch which I followed quite closely I even used my flower punch to cut the curved edges on some of the papers too.  The page documents my husbands love of roller coasters - not sure whether he is in the carriages on that photo, but he loves them....something I am not so sure about!

Kim

Tessa
I've been holding onto this pair of instagram photos for quite awhile, just waiting for the inspiration to scrap them. This sketch was perfect!

Petra
I loved creating after this sketch ♥ super inspiring. As I am also on the You Do Design Team who is sponsoring us this month I decided to make a double page, one half for the Studio Challenges and one half for You Do. I mirrored the sketch on one page and used the same brand new paper collection from You Do as well as the new You Do stamp collection..

Valerie
I love Amanda's page and didn't stray to far from the original sketch. I used die cut frames to make my larger photo appear smaller:

Guest designer Eleni Gratsia
What an incredible sketch ... it inspired me to play with photos of my nieces and lots of love elements.

Some members of our lovely sponsors for this month, Yo Do's design team have joined in too!

Lisa Andersson

Petra Offrell

Monica Bernpaintner
All the pages and cards from the You Do team are made using You Do paper, stamps, washi tape, flowers and decorations.

We would like to say thank you to Eleni for being are guest designer this month, it was great to have you joining in with us! Also a big thank you to Kim and Emi from the design team who are sadly leaving us, it's been a great 6 months with so many amazing layouts that inspired everyone, we will miss you!

Don't forget to link up your takes on the sketch, we would love to see them!

6th Jan- New Beginnings

As it a new year, today's challenge is all about New Beginnings. In whatever way you would like to interpret it! Have you made goals for this year?!
Anna
This year will be an exciting one for me as I have two nieces or nephews on the way within weeks of each other! Can't wait!

Daphne
The start of a new year always means new beginnings - and definitely for us this time! DH's got a new job starting in March. We are really looking forward to it because he doesn't have to go abroad any more! There are even more new things coming up, but they are still in planning mode and not be be revealed yet ;)

Emi

My LO is in Polish but it's all about the NEW BEGINNING and NEW resolutions in 2013 :)
I love preparing 'TO DO' list so I added one here.
A lot of fun connected to this theme.

Jules

My new beginning actually happened back in October when I went back to university as a full time student. After over 10 years in employment it's taken some getting used to, but I'm loving every minute!

Kat
For my layout, I decided to focus on my goals for 2013.  Plus, I figured this was a really good way to bust my alpha stash :o)

Katherine
Here is my take on new beginnings - I don't go out of my way to make resolutions at new year, and didn't have any baby photos that popped out at me, but this photo did.  I love the way that snow covers the landscape and transforms it even making the more ugly things look beautiful whilst underneath loads of life is getting ready to erupt in spring and new beginnings.  So slightly oddly I don't see winter as an ending but the beginning of something new :)

Kim

Petra
This challenge is all about new beginnings and this one I guess I should have seen coming but I didn't. A month ago I checked and it seemed like I had perfect eyesight (even though my age is higher than my shoe size) and then just before Christmas I started getting these head-aches. At Christmas day I tried on my mother's glasses and to my surprise and horror I saw the text clearer than before. So my new beginning is to go and get myself a pair of glasses. Oh dear.

PP from SODAlicious, feather stamps from Artemio, alphabet dies from QK, ticket from Teresa Collins, Stencils from Crafter's Workshop, Distress ink ♥

Tessa
I decided to make a layout about how I felt looking ahead into 2013. I'm excited to see what 2013 has in store.

Our Guest Designer for this month is Eleni Gratsia, here's her lovely layout:
Here is my layout for the 1st challenge ... 'new beginnings' you said ... I chose to scrap a photo a view from my brother's new house ... a family of 6 moving into a new home that they built ... life changing ... beautiful really ... I'm off to visit them tomorrow and to stay for the holidays ...

You Do are kindly sponsoring us for this month so please link up your creations for a chance of winning some great You Do scrapping goodies!

You Do is a Swedish company that offers products needed for a creative lifestyle. We're happy to sponsor The Studio's challenges this month! Please visit our blog to get inspired on how to use our products.
