There were a lot of milestones for our family in 2019. Morgan graduated from high school. Ma & Pa celebrated their 50th anniversary. Sam and Graeme got married and announced baby #2 is on the way. So much to be thankful for!!

I hope these lovely layouts have inspired you to give the challenge a go, we would love to see your layouts.

Happy New Year to you all! See you next year!

15th Dec - Christmas Traditions

Good Morning! Today's challenge is ...

Your Christmas traditions, what is Christmas like where you are, is there something you always do at Christmas time that is different to other people's? Or maybe there's a tradition you have to do for it to feel like it really is Christmas.

Helen
My layout is about the change of our Christmas tree decorating, once we had a traditional red/green tree with Hallmark decorations that the boys and I would go and choose each year but when they got to their teenage years they weren't interested. So, I decided that we could have a teal tree instead seeing as I was the only one interested in it. So each year I have teal and another colour(s) on my tree.

Lori
One of our favorite Christmas traditions is decorating the tree - it is the kick-off to our holiday season - and it's a requirement that everyone in the family has to hang at least one ornament.

Michelle
Hey everyone. A new tradition for us is my grandson visiting Santa. It didn't go so well last year so here's to hoping it won't be a short lived tradition!!

I loved seeing the design team's traditions and now it's over to you, what's yours? We would love to see your challenge layouts, just link them up to the side bar.

3rd Nov - Mood board

Today I picked this lovely Autumn/fall mood board from Pinterest to inspire you.

Here's what the design team created with it...

Helen
I tried to follow the mood board, however, seeing as it is spring here in Australia I found it a bit hard to get into the autumn/fall mood. So, I used the colours rather than the images for inspiration.

Lovely layouts! I hope they have inspired you to join in, please link up your finished layout to the side bar.

20th Oct - One Piece of Patterned Paper

20th October - One piece of patterned paper; it sounds like a hard one but it can be double sided! You can cut it up, change it somehow, its up to you as long as there's only one sheet of patterned paper used on your layout!

Helen
Luckily, the piece of patterned paper I chose was coloured on the back of the branding strip so I got a little bit extra to play with. It's actually quite amazing how much you can achieve with one piece of paper when you try to use every last little bit of it!

Lori
This was such a fun challenge! The hardest part was deciding which pretty double-sided patterned paper to use!

Michelle
When I first saw this challenge I was a little nervous, but I found a gorgeous floral paper with a fun stripe on the back. A lot of mixed media on the background also helped to save the day. I was able to use the thin strip on the top of the paper as well. I used what was left to mat my photos. No scraps to store of this paper!!

I think the design team did a great job with this challenge. If they inspired you to give it a try please link up your layout to the side bar by 3rd November.

22nd September - Take Five

Good Morning!
Today's challenge is to...

Include these five items in your layout...

Enamel dots/ shapes
Chipboard alphas
The colour orange
Thread/ stitching
Stamps

Helen
For my layout I used a Dylusions stamp which I though was only fitting seeing as I was scrapping about the the class I took with Dyan Reaveley earlier this year. Plus I've included orange enamel dots and hearts, and orange ink. I used thread on the tag and did some sewing on the title where I also incorporated some chipboard letters.

Lori
For my layout, I have used enamel dots and enamel stars, chipboard alphas, the color orange, thread - bunched up behind the circle on the bottom, and two different circle stamps.

Michelle

Hey everyone. For the stamp portion of the Take Five challenge I used a label stamp from Stamper's Anonymous, and then added word stickers to them. The other items are pretty obvious. Thanks for stopping by!!

If that's inspired you to give it a go please link your layout up to the side bar.
